I just joined Bike Angel, and was looking forward to getting the 3X booster on my 4th ride today (after I understood what "streaks" meant). I picked up the bike from a neutral station (no pickup nor drop off points), and parked the bike on a station with 12 pink points. But the system did not consider the ride as positive and gave me zero point. It also reset my booster counter to 0! I have screenshots showing the pick up station being neutral, and parked station with +ve dropoff (also checked the status of both stations after I had parked the bike). I contacted Lyft support and was able to get the 12 points credited, but they weren't able to provide the booster credits saying that's beyond what they could assist. Has anyone experienced this issue? Who else could I contact to resolve this issue? Otherwise, it is not worth the trouble trying to get booster points in future. While there have always been bikes available in the docks at a station with a valet, it did get me thinking about how that would work if there weren't any or maybe I wanted a specific type that wasn't currently docked, but was available from the valet. Would the points associated with that pickup station still be registered if the bike comes from the valet rather than the dock? The same could be asked about the other way around. Regardless of the motivations, what are your suggestions in this situation? Key fob can be handy, but I see that the orders are pending and that there is still a supply chain issue. I look forward to getting an update on this. Can we use the kiosk to get a one-time-use ride code associated with the account to undock? What is the Citibike card option on the right of the bike docking station? Should/can we report this by pressing the wrench symbol to stop the bike from undocking by anyone immediately? I guess this may be a double-edged sword as it can be pressed mistakenly sometimes, but then should we report this in the app? It seems like the bike repair request in the app is not specific and that by the time the technician gets there, the specific bike can be already undocked by whoever "reserved" it. Any other way to undock the bike when the QR code and the bike id number are not options that I may not be aware of? Please advise. Thanks! P.S. Hello! A newbie to Citibike & bike angels needs help with a quick question that doesn't seem to be answered. Any comment is greatly appreciated! So I completed a streak and unlocked 3x boost, then I followed with 3 more positive rides. And each of those subsequent rides said, for example, "3 points with 3x boost!" However, the 3 points are calculated according to the overall rules (regardless of the boost). And a total of only 3 points is added to my monthly and lifetime points. My question is - where are the additional boost points then? Are they calculated later and if so, when? Update: this question has been resolved. Just FYI if anyone new has this same confusion, the point values shown on the map already reflect the added 2x/3x bonus... and that max point value you can get from one positive ride is 24 (both 12 pick-up and 12 drop-off with 3x boost).Solvedamandaxmei2 years agoCasual Commenter981Views4likes2CommentsLost Booster After Using Cable Lock

Since early this month, March, the stations (and points) have been slow to show up in the map in the app. The area immediately around where I’m located shows up but then everything else is slow to propagate, or only partially propagates. This lag makes it very hard to figure out where I’m going next, especially when I’m traveling across the city. I often go longer distances, even just to appointments around the city, and (regardless of points) this lag makes it annoying to difficult to see the stations near my destination. I do various tricks, which can help encourage larger sections of the map to propagate, but no trick is reliably responsive, and the farthest reaches don’t always show up. Switching between the public transit and bike tabs at gr bottom of the app screen works the best, but typically I frequently zoom in and out to seemingly nudge the app to propagate more (not always all) of the city. This lag is especially tedious when it stops right before the neighborhood or stations I’m looking to see. Is anything going on in general? Are others seeing this lag? Was it a conscious design change? Or is it a bug? General glitch or a glitch specific to my app?Sean2 years agoSteady Solver1.1KViews3likes3CommentsHow do you stop seat from falling on Next-Gens?

Seems like a massive amount of stations changed to drop off points recently and I'm having a hard time finding neutral or pick up points stations. I love the program and am usually willing to go a little out of my way to find a pick up points spot, but now it's at the point where sometimes I have to walk 30 min to find even a neutral station. Is the algorithm for assigning points values glitching? Some stations that have a ton of bikes and very few open docks are showing drop off points. Take this screenshot for example. The station on the left with one drop off point has 25 bikes and 5 open docks. While the station a minute away on the right is neutral with 17 open docks and only 8 bikes. This makes no sense. Again, I love the program, but this makes it feel less like we're "angels" balancing the system, and more like we're just randomly moving bikes wherever a faulty computer determines.Solvedtopheru2 years agoCasual Commenter1.1KViews2likes6CommentsPick up points & drop offpoints

4th Street Washington Square Park Stations
Over the last month, the stations around 4th street Washington Square Park are feeling more and more packed. I've never really had much of a problem getting to class around there, but now I do. There's rarely any parking. Maybe its a seasonal thing and a lot of people dropped off bikes that they never biked back with. For those who have had Citi Bike for over a year, do you notice trends like this across seasons? Like parking getting harder in the winter. Also, I'll probably take a weekend to make a few runs, but I feel like if 10-20 people move a bunch of bikes from Washington Square Park, it might be that a lot of those bikes won't come back.
