The app design sucks
The app design has become really user unfriendly. It is now so hard to find your location on the map. The blue dot hides behinds the station bubbles, and when you recenter and zoom, the blue dot is not even in the center of the screen it seems plus they now make it a green circle when you are on the bike —which also hides behind station bubble—and is not intuitive. Leave it blue! also let’s go back to the map design without the bike icons. They are pointless and clutter the map if you need to differentiate between bikes and scooters (not an issue in NYC) then use colors and have a legend on the map it’s really annoying to use also I don’t like that you don’t get a running tally of your bike angle points. I want to know how many I have for the month, not just how many points to the next rewardTJ4 years agoResourceful Rider4.1KViews7likes11CommentsBike Angels points not recording
Hey Citibike/Lyft, There seems to be problem in the coding when you hit 200 Bike Angel points. My account stopped registering points and told me I needed 900 more for the next reward. I've seen a few other post s online where other members have also had issues when they hit 200 points. I've called your service number and I'm told the department in charge of it is aware of the problem and will fix it the same day and get back to me, but I never hear from them and the problem was not fixed on my account for Aprilbrooklynsteve4 years agoResourceful Rider3.7KViews0likes11CommentsPlease restore...
...the ability to see Bike Angel point availability at docking stations when using the station map on your web site. At present, this information seems to be available only in the app, whereas formerly it was available on the web site as well.WestEndAl4 years agoSteady Solver2.6KViews6likes6CommentsBike Angel Points Harder to Acquire
Anyone else notice just how difficult it’s become to get Bike Angels points? Seems there are lots of points to be had in certain areas of the city, but they’re almost always exclusively drop off points and not for angels to take out! Really getting sick of this. Not sure it’s even worth it anymore to participate. What incentives are there at this point? Things have taken a decisive turn for the worse since Lyft took over. There are obviously some angels - based on the leaderboard- who are spending significant amounts of time in a competitive quest for points. I’ve certainly seen 1 or 2 of them recently. Quite a sight to see.SolvedGflynyc4 years agoCasual Commenter2.1KViews1like5CommentsNew? Improved? Not really.
I haven’t found an easy way to flip between the Bike Angels web material and the regular Citibike material. As I recall, before Citibike’s web presence was “improved,” this was possible. Maybe there’s reason why these 2 “realms” are unlinked, but don’t see how users are better served by this.WestEndAl4 years agoSteady Solver2KViews0likes6CommentsAngel Rewards and Citibike App
I have patiently waited for my lifetime rewards 500, 1500 now 2500 and seem to be getting nothing. My partner received rewards even after completing milestones well after me so what gives. To add to the confusion, I looked on my Citibike app today and all of my stats are gone and I can not see points for the stations. Just a taunt saying "You're a Bike Angel". Click on it and nothing happens (Apple and Android) and my 60 minute ride perk seems to have disappeared as well since it says 45 minutes again.CC7284 years agoResourceful Rider2KViews1like3CommentsUsing ebike credits
I’ve tried to use my ebike credits as I earn them, but am so frustrated when I do: why doesn’t the system take credit that is closest to expiration rather than credits that have more time on them? I’ve lost some ebike credit already to expiration, and am probably about to lose more because I can’t control which credit is used 🤬AngelonBike4 years agoResourceful Rider1.9KViews4likes5CommentsI want E-bike credits rather than money
Right now Bike Angels passing 200 points earn $1 for every additional 10 points. I'd like to have the option to apply the points to E-bike minutes rather than a dollar amount. Not saying do away with monetary compensation, just let it be a choice. I'd much prefer $30 of E-bike time rather than 30 bucks cash at the end of the month.TaichiKen3 years agoSteady Solver1.8KViews1like7CommentsNew Topics for the Bike Angels Community
I'm so glad that Lyft/Citibike has created this group, though I see that there are only two topics: Welcome and Help. We have a Bike Angels Community on Facebook where we have created several topics so Angels can more easily find topics with info they need. The topics we are using are listed below. It would be great if we could use similar topics in this group. **Angel Achievements: Brag here about your latest point milestone, or any Angel-related goal. **App Info: Anything relating to the app or web interface, including features, glitches, updates. **Bike Angels in the News: Any news or social media post about Bike Angels in any bike sharing market. **Citibike in the News: Any news or social media post about Citibike or NYC cycling. **The Good Bad and Ugly: Anything you want to share about your experience with Citibike/Bike Angels. **Group Info: Information about this group, including descriptions, notifications, and related conversation. **High Point Alert: Notifications about 3+ docks or 4+ runs. **Meet-n-Greet: Say hi to your fellow Angels! **System Status: Updates regarding outages, fees, or other non-Angel related Citibike information (this does NOT include app info). **Tips-n-Tricks: Info and advice regarding Bike Angels, Citibike, or biking in NYC in general.CarolTandava4 years agoSteady Solver1.8KViews1like3Comments
