Celebrate Earth Day with Citi Bike on Open Streets in NYC!
Celebrate Earth Day with Citi Bike on Open Streets in NYC! Since 2016, NYC DOT’s Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day has been reclaiming the roads for cyclists and pedestrians by transforming heavily-trafficked city streets into public plazas for pedestrians, cyclists, and local businesses to connect and envision new possibilities. With seven signature locations and 31 total plazas throughout the five boroughs, this year’s route features presentations, workshops, activities, art, and performances—accessing more than 1,000 miles of NYC's Bike Network. Each plaza features a different city agency, community organization, or local business presenting information about local, environmental, and sustainability topics as well as creative exhibits and performances. The seven signature locations are: Willis Avenue at East 47 Street to East 148 Street in the Bronx Troutman Street at St. Nicholas Avenue to Irving Avenue in Brooklyn Dykman Street at Broadway to La Marina in Manhattan St. Nicholas Avenue at West 181 Street to West 190 Street in Manhattan Broadway at East 17 Street to West 42nd Street in Manhattan Woodside Avenue at 76 Street to 79 Street in Queens Minthorne Street at Bay Street to Victory Boulevard in Staten Island. NYC DOT’s Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day Saturday, April 22, 2023 10 am to 3 pm Invite your non-member friends to try Citi Bike using code CARFREE23 for free unlimited 30-minute rides on a classic Citi Bike on Open Streets. What’s Next? 🌆🚴 The weather is warming up, and so is activity in the community. As we work to add value to the community for all Bike Angels, we’re focusing on ramping up our FAQ section with community-curated solutions. Community Tune Up 👼💪 Where does the content in the FAQ section come from? The FAQ tab is home to articles that are created from community topics and questions. We currently have specific categories for content about Points, Rewards, and Basics that house articles about those topics. We’ll add new categories to the FAQ section as new themes emerge in the community. How accepted solutions strengthen the FAQ Content in the FAQ is sourced from topics solved in the community. Once a topic is marked as solved, community members and moderators nominate solved posts for addition to the FAQ. Nominated topics are reviewed by the Bike Angels Team before becoming FAQ articles. Want to see your solutions show up in the FAQ? A topic must have an accepted solution to be eligible for nomination. The most thoughtful and thorough replies will be the ones that solve member topics and leave helpful content for other Angels online. Below are some elements of a solid reply: Restate the issue | make sure you’re in the same lane Be friendly and mindful of community guidelines | we’re here to do good Provide source info | links and images are very helpful to add context to replies Wheelie Good News 🛞🗞 We know it can be daunting to see the high scores in the Citi Bike Leaderboard each month, as our Power Angels really push the pedals. In an effort to provide more insight into the moves Angels make, we compiled some alternate insights here for our Citi Bike Angels! The Community Help Journey: How Solved Topics Become FAQ Articles
The Community Help Journey: How Solved Topics Become FAQ Articles Where do FAQ articles come from? Ever wonder how content gets selected and added to the FAQ section? It’s pretty simple. A solved topic is nominated for addition to the FAQ, and our team reviews the topic to create an article. Once approved, the article is published in the FAQ. Why mark a topic as solved? When a topic is solved in the community, it creates a living record for other Angels in need. Solved topics are given prominence—they feature a green checkmark icon that signifies that question has been answered. But, these solutions still require some searching to find compared to FAQ articles. How do I nominate a solved article to become a FAQ article? To nominate any solved topic to be considered for addition to the FAQ, follow these steps: Click on that topic to open the thread Click on the three dots in the top right corner to reveal the post options Click ‘Nominate to Knowledge Base’Jess2 years agoBike Angels Team97Views0likes0Comments- BikeAngelsTeam2 years agoCommunity Manager1.6KViews3likes8Comments

Double your points from Oct. 9–24!
Hello Bike Angels! For two weeks in October, you’ll have the chance to earn double points on your Bike Angels trips while helping your fellow bikers! That’s right: every station’s point value will double from Oct. 9–24. Rewards This is the perfect time to get those good vibes, free rides, and more. Check the Points and Rewards page to line up your next milestone and track which trips earn points. How to earn points Check the app. The map will automatically update to show doubled point values at each station. They’ll also show up in the statistics section of your member profile. Get going. Find a crowded station and grab a bike. Next, spot a station that’s looking low on wheels and needs a Bike Angel to dock a bike. Get rewarded. After completing a couple of rebalancing rides, watch the points add up in your Citi Bike account, and look out for an email about redeeming your swag. Whether you’re after a free membership extension or some limited-edition Bike Angels swag, working more rides into your routine is the way to do it.BikeAngelsTeam2 years agoCommunity Manager727Views2likes3Comments- Jess2 years agoBike Angels Team679Views11likes0Comments
