Citi Bike app no longer shows ride completion notification

Hi Robert! Thank you for your patience as our technical team investigated this error. After review, we can confirm that app notifications are sent from our end without any issues.

From a recent Apple community post, we see that people have reported issues with not receiving notifications from certain apps since upgrading to iOS Version 17.6. Please try contacting Apple support regarding this issue, and let us know if you are still in need of further assistance.

Hi, any update on this? It’s really frustrating as after every ride, I now have to pull out the phone, click on the app twice to clear it- I never understood that and why that is necessary, as all that tapping is a total waste of time and effort – then go down and tap again to see my angel points total, to make sure that I got proper credit for that ride. Previously, when it worked, I was able to get the notifications on the lock screen, or recently, just see the end of ride notification and points right on my new smart watch. Thanks.

  Last night I tried the nuclear option- I deleted (not offloaded) the Citi Bike app from my phone, which warned me that it would delete all my data and settings. Then I reinstalled it, but I did not need to re-enter my password, and all my settings seemed to still be there. And today after I took some rides, I did once again get the notifications, so that feature seems to be working again. Hurray!
  But, weirdly, when I first launched the app, the home screen no longer let me toggle between number of bikes and number of empty docks- that button had disappeared! All I could see is number of bikes at each station, which was frustrating. And, I had two new icons on top that I never had before, Home and Work, which seemed to show me stations in the vicinity of those two locations, which was kind of cool.
  
  I then I quit the app, and relaunched it, and now those two new buttons have totally disappeared, but the old station toggle button is back- I did not touch any preferences or settings, so I have no idea why I had the changes the first time, but not the second.

    Hi, robertrippsthanks for continuing to follow up with this thread. Are you getting notifications after troubleshooting or still only seeing them on your watch?

  Interesting – however I’m running 17.6.1, and I’m getting all other notifications from every other app just fine!
